President Tinubu Approves Major Road Projects in Niger State and Rivers State

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the reconstruction of three federal roads in Niger State, spanning 306.5km, to boost connectivity and economic growth. The projects are:
Mokwa-Bida Road (120km),
Mokwa-Makeri Road (63km)and lastly
Bida-Labata Road (123.5km)

The roads will be rebuilt with reinforced concrete pavement for durability. Additionally, the President has approved extending the Bodo-Bonny Road to connect with the East-West Road, a dual carriageway project with solar-powered street lighting.

The Minister of Works, Senator Engr. David Umahi, praised the President’s commitment to infrastructure development, saying the projects will enhance trade and development. He thanked the President and urged Nigerians to support the administration’s efforts.

The projects will be executed through competitive bidding, with a focus on quality and sustainability. The move is seen as a boost to the country’s infrastructure development and economic growth.
