Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have dealt ISWAP a crushing blow at Bitta, thwarting an infiltration attempt and marking the third major setback for the terrorists in just 24 hours.
Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI have successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt by fighters of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) at Bitta in Sector 1.
The terrorists, seeking to regain ground after recent setbacks, were met with overwhelming resistance. Alert troops executed a coordinated counter-offensive, disrupting the attackers’ formation and blocking withdrawal routes, forcing a chaotic retreat and inflicting heavy losses.
This marks the third major setback for ISWAP within 24 hours, following earlier failed attacks at Banki and Azir Bridge.
Military authorities noted that these successive defeats reflect the sustained operational pressure being applied by troops of Operation HADIN KAI across the North-East theatre. Troops remain in firm control of all positions, maintaining high morale, superior coordination, and sustained offensive operations.
The military high command commended the troops’ bravery and resilience, urging them to maintain the current operational tempo in the ongoing campaign against terrorism.
