Nigerian Army Cracks Down on Kidnappers in Olokoro: Three IPOB Ritualists Arrested During Operation Eastern Sanity

In a decisive strike under Operation Eastern Sanity, troops of Operation Udo Ka, operating under the 14 Brigade Nigerian Army, stormed criminal hideouts in the forested areas of Olokoro, Abia State, linked to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Eastern Security Network (ESN).

The operation, carried out on 11 March 2026 following credible intelligence, led to the arrest of three ritualists wanted for kidnappings, murder, and unholy sacrifices.

Troops also uncovered and destroyed a shrine used for ritual activities and criminal fortification.

Recovered items include ID cards, ATM cards, empty ammunition cases, a motorcycle, mobile phones, machetes, and suspected illicit substances.

The clearance operation is ongoing as troops continue to comb the Olokoro forests in search of additional camps, criminals, and illegal arms.

The Nigerian Army reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining pressure on criminal networks threatening peace in Abia State and the South East region, urging members of the public to provide timely and credible information to security agencies.

Operation Udo Ka remains focused on protecting lives, securing property, and reinforcing regional stability.
