The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BOT) has rejected the Court of Appeal judgment that invalidated the party’s November 2025 National Convention, which produced the current Kaduna-led National Working Committee.
Speaking at an emergency meeting held on March 11–12, 2026, BOT Chairman Adolphus Wabara expressed concern over internal disputes weakening party unity and said the Board is awaiting legal advice on the next steps.
The Board resolved to explore reconciliation opportunities, constituting a special committee to engage stakeholders and restore party cohesion ahead of the 2027 elections.
The BOT praised Governors Bala Mohammed (Bauchi) and Seyi Makinde (Oyo) for their commitment to the party and approved Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu as Secretary of the Board.
Wabara urged members to remain focused as the PDP continues efforts to strengthen unity and political readiness for 2027.
