The strategic partnership between Nigeria and the United States has taken a significant leap forward with the US Government commending the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) for its impressive preparedness ahead of the delivery of the advanced AH-1Z Viper attack helicopters. The commendation was delivered during a three-day high-level engagement at the NAF Headquarters in Abuja, where a US delegation led by Robert Galan met with senior NAF officials to review progress on the aircraft induction programme. The US delegation was satisfied with Nigeria’s infrastructural readiness, technical planning, and operational alignment. Representing the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, Air Vice Marshal Abubakar Abdullahi reaffirmed the NAF’s commitment to meeting all operational, technical, and logistical requirements for immediate mission readiness.
